I’m all in for “Emily in Paris.” It came at the perfect time, a fantasy about wearing Chanel while eating croissants and organically building your social media clout. I’m so bought in that I’ve followed all the actors of Instagram. So in honor of Mindy, here’s Richmond gal Lucy Dacus covering Edith Piaf.
Dacus says about this song: “I want someone to listen to this while running at top speed to the doorstep of the person they adore, ready to profess their deep, undying love.” I haven’t finished the series yet, but I could totally see a montage like that set to Dacus’s version in the finale, oui?
PS: Joe and I went to Le Grand Vefour on our honeymoon, the restaurant Emily is dying to get into in episode 4. That amused me!
