Oh no, I have to buy these shoes now!
Good thing they are cute.

Good thing they are cute.
I wore my white gogo boots to the office last week. With fishnet tights.
Not sure why I ever bought these. Actually, I remember - they were an emergency impulse DSW buy after my ballet flats left my feet battered from a morning of walking in New York.
No one need white boots. But I try to wear them occasionally to justify the purchase. Although if they cause my dismissal at work, that won't justify much.
It's cool - the rest of my outfit was conservative. A turtleneck makes everything ok. Right. Right? Right??
I work at a design firm, so I feel there should be some creative license to the dress code. OK, the fishnet tights are a bit much. They are tasteful fishnets... I dare say, however, that some people at work seemed to like the outfit - it reminded them of growing up in the 60s.
My friend Prudence had the best reaction to my boots. I walked by her in the kitchen as she was drinking a glass of water - she looked down at the gogo boots and almost did a spit-take. That was a honest assessment.
Leave me a comment and let me know if you have ideas on how to wear white flat boots.
Also, should I do more fashion-blogger-esque outfit posts? Not because I think that I am a model. I don't at all. Just because most of the blogs I read are fashion-related and I think it would be fun to throw my hat (or white boots) into the ring.
How can a hot pink bike helmet possibly be improved on?
I tried to resist, but I couldn't help buying this necklace from Forever 21. I have a weakness for glasses-emblazoned apparel, as I've written before. And only $2.80! Why not. It's pretty emo, but also fun.
Man, that F21 in Metro Center is gigantic! Every time I go there, they've added another floor.
I wasn't sure if this week's Nail Polish Challenge could be done. I looked all week for a Christmas ornament or something that would match, but nothing was quite tacky enough.
My friend Emily, however, rose to the occasion - she found a sparkly Steve Madden heel that matched my Sparkle-icious polish exactly!!
The one minor detail is that the shoes and my nail polish were never in the same room together. No matter.
I've been obsessed with my nail polish this week. So sparkly. It's called "Sparkle-icious." I kid you not. Inspired by the movie "Burlesque." Again, I kid you not.
Those tweens know what's up - glitter nailpolish stays on forever. My manicurist didn't have the best command of English, but she looked at my nails when she finished and declared, "Now you are ready for the club. Put your hands up! Put your hands up!" (with appropriate hand gestures).
Again, not kidding.
I'm going to try to find something in the environment that it matches, to go with my Nail Polish Challenge. It has been difficult thus far. My friend Lani had an easier time with her pretty taupe manicure!
